The qualifying round of the Freshman golf tournament will be played off today and tomorrow at the Waltham Country Club. The Golf Association had not decided last night how many men would quality for the championship flight. If as many as thirty players enter the tournament it is planned to retain a championship flight of sixteen. If this number is not reached the final flight will be only eight men. The match play will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. A prize will be given to the winner, who will become class champion.

This tournament is being held under the auspices of the Harvard Golf Association, with the view of stimulating interest in golf in the University. The association is further planning to hold tournaments to decide the championships of the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes and of the Business, Law, and Dental Schools.
