PEABODY MUSEUM PLANS EXHIBIT
New Cases Being Built for Rich Collection of Indian Relics
The Peabody Museum in the southern wing of the University Museum has recently had a number of exhibition cases built. When set up these cases will be used for the material concerning California Indians. This material will then be brought together in the main hall on the first floor and will constitute the richest collection of its kind in existence. It is expected to be ready for public exhibition within a month.
The large signal drum given the Museum by Dr. A. H. Rice '98, has been placed with the South American material on the second floor. Dr. Rice, several times previously the benefactor of the Museum, has spent many years in research on the banks of the Amazon and the Orinoco.
