NAME TEN HARVARD MEN IN '21 TENNIS RANKING

Captain Morris Duane '23 and W. W. Ingraham '25 Mentioned--W. McL. Washburn '15, R. N. Williams 2nd '16 and N. W. Niles '09 Among First Ten

Ten Harvard men are mentioned in the Longwood official ranking of American lawn tennis players for the year 1921, made public yesterday. Of these, two are undergraduates, W. W. Ingraham '25 and Morris Duane '23, Captain of the University tennis team, being ranked fifteenth and twenty-third respectively in the New England section. Ingraham also was awarded third place in the Junior singles ranking.

The University, moreover, was well represented in the ranking by having three graduates placed among "the first ten." W. McL. Washburn '15, R. N. Williams 2nd '16, N. W. Niles '09 were placed fifth, sixth, and tenth respectively. Williams and Niles also were awarded first and second places respectively in the New England Section.

The complete ranking of University men follows:

Men's singles--W. McL. Washburn '15, fifth; R. N. Williams 2nd '16, sixth; N. W. Niles '09, tenth; W. J. Clothier '04, sixteenth.

Men's doubles--W. McL. Washburn '15 and R. N. Williams 2nd '16, second.

Junior singles--W. W. Ingraham '25, third.

New England Section--R. N. Williams 2nd '16, first; N. W. Niles '09, second; J. B. Fenno Jr. '21, Captain of last years University tennis team, thirteenth; W. W. Ingraham '25, fifteenth; Morris Duane '23, Captain of the 1922 team, twenty-third; and H. R. Guild '17, twenty-fifth.

"The First Ten"--W. McL. Washburn '15, fifth; R. N. Williams 2nd '16, sixth; and N. W. Niles '09, tenth.

Richard Harte '17 and G. C. Caner '19, both strong players, were not ranked due to insufficient data.
