SECONDS OPPOSE CAMBRIDGE LATIN

Captain Probably to be Elected After Game This Afternoon

The second University hockey team will face the Cambridge Latin School sextet in a practice game today on the Charlesbank rink. This will be only the third time the seconds have played together in actual scrimmage as the condition of the ice has greatly retarded their development. In their first two contests they were victors over the fast Freshman ice-men by the scores of 3-2 and 2-0, showing very promising ability.

An effort is being made this year to create a greater interest in second squad hockey by scheduling as many regular games as practical. Games with Newton High School on January 20, Pomfret on February 1, Andover on February 8, and St. Mark's on February 15 have been tentatively scheduled subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee.

The defense has shown itself to be especially formidable this season, while a speedy forward line is expected as soon as the men have had a greater opportunity to work together. A captain will probably be elected after today's scrimmage.

The seconds line up for today's scrimmage is as follows: Keys, r.w.; Hovey, Butman, Palmer, c.; Guild, l.w.; Pratt, c.p.; Burden, p.; and Dole, g.
