CRIMSON SEXTET TO MEET FORMIDABLE NOVA SCOTIAN TEAM

Improved Team-Play of Coach Claflin's Men Points to Even Chance of Victory for University Players

Tonight at 8.15 o'clock in the Arena the Crimson hockey team will face the Dalhousie University setxet, another Canadian combiantion which, though rated below Toronto, is said to be the best team in Nova Scotia, and one of the most formidable north of te border. Last night, however, the sextet from Halifax was defeated by M. I. T. 3-1.

The record of the Dalhousie team to date this season includes five victories and two defeats, Antignish being the only other team which has overcome the Halifax sextet this winter. In this game the four best players were absent on account of professionalism charges which have yet to be proved. Last year the Dalhousie players won 18 games, lost two, and tied two, and although they lost the Halifax Amateur Hockey League championship to the Wanderers by a one-goal margin, they captured the intercollegiate title of Nova Scotia and also the New Brunswick championship.

The Crimson team met a Nova Scotian combination last year when it so emphatically defeated King's College 9 to 1. Tonight's opponent, however, will be far more dangerous than last season's team from the same section of Canada. As in the Toronto game of January 4 in seems probable that Coach Claflin's men will be outclassed in skating and stick handling. The Toronto players were so much superior in these two departments that the fine teamwork of the Crimson sextet was of little avail. Tonight the playing of the University is sure to show a great improvement over that of ten days ago; and the all-around ability of Dalhousie will clearly not be up to the standard of Toronto.

With these facts as the basis of figuring tonight's contest should be a toss-up. Both teams are in good condition, bot are confident of winning, and the advantages of one combination are just about evently offset by the advantages of the other.
