A two weeks' competition for positions on the editorial and business boards of the Register, the official publication of the Student Council, will begin at 5 o'clock this afternoon. Candidates from the Freshman and Sophomore classes should report at the Register office in the Union at that time. No previous journalistic experience is necessary. The work for editorial candidates will consist of collecting information about the University and of putting it into proper shape for publication. Business candidates will solicit subscriptions and advertisements.
The Register is well on the way to publication. Nearly two hundred pages of it are already in type and the rest will be set up shortly. All who subscribe may revoke their subscription and have their money refunded if the book is not published by November 15th. Every effort has been made to make the volume the most complete ever issued. Among the innovations is a series of articles by prominent members of the College on the various phases of life at the University. Home addresses of all undergraduates will also be published in the Register.
