Fall track activities will start at the University next Tuesday afternoon when meetings will be held at the Locker Building for track and Cross-country candidates at 2.30 and 4 o'clock respectively. The work for the track than, which will last about a month, will consist mainly in drill in fundamentals and preparation for the discus and javelin throwing event which will be added to the regular Intercollegiate schedule for the first time this year. The work for the cross-country candidates, however, will last through the Intercollegiate meet.

Work on the new track on Soldiers Field has progressed rather slowly this summer on account of the lack of rain, but it will probably be completed by Tuesday. This track, with its two 200-yard straightaways and quarter-mile oval, will be a valuable addition to the University's training facilities as it will provide a place for the increasing number of men who turn out for track each year.
