DEAN FENN TO ACT AS CLASS DAY CHAPLAIN

Will Officiate at Exercises in Sanders Theatre--Change of Plan Necessitated by Expected Absence of Dr. Raymond Calkins, Who Was to Take Services

Dean William Wallace Fenn '84, of the Andover Theological Seminary, will act as Chaplain at the exercises in Sanders Theatre on Class Day, it was announced by the Class Day Committee last night. It was first planned that Dr. Raymond Calkins '90 would conduct Chapel on Class Day and be Chaplain in Sanders, as well as officiate at the Baccalaureate Services, where President Lowell will give the sermon, but because of Dr. Calkins' expected absence from the city on Class Day, a change of plan was necessary. As was announced on Wednesday, Professor George Herbert Palmer '64 will conduct the services in Appleton on Class Day, and Dean Fenn yesterday consented to act as Chaplain at the Sanders exercises.
