A cablegram received yesterday gives final assurance of a match between the Oxford-Cambridge and the University-Yale tennis teams. The Englishmen will sail on the Adriatic, June 22, landing in New York on the thirtieth.
No definite arrangements have been made as yet concerning the date and place of the match but the contest will probably be held at Newport on either July 4 and 5, or July 5 and 6. Nine matches, six singles and three doubles, will be played and if possible, five matches will be held the first day and four the second.
On Saturday, the Crimson netmen will face the Seabright Tennis Club, preparatory to the Intercollegiate matches which are to be played this year at the Merion Cricket Club, at Haverford, Pennsylvania, starting June 27. The University players will leave for Seabright as soon as their examinations are over, in order to get in as much practice as possible before the championship matches. Captain Fenno, Duane, Feibleman and Bradley are the Crimson tennis men who will enter the Intercollegiates.
