The first game of the interclass increase series was staged yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field, where 1923 defeated 1924 by 8 goals to 4. The sophomores had several first team men in their line-up and casually overpowered the Freshmen. For the 1923 team R. P. Kantor and W. S. Lindsley played well on the defence, while D. H. Treanor 2Es. and E. S. Young put up a strong offensive game. A. L. Hepworth and H. H. Jacobson were the most raliable men near the Freshman goal, and H. L. Cole and J. R. Sewell were the nest at carrying the game into the second year men's territory.
