Candidates for Business Department to Report Tonight at 7 o'Clock--Offers Chance to Gain Business Experience

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

All candidates for the second Crimson business competition for Freshmen will meet tonight at 7 o'clock in the Business Office of the Crimson. This will mark the start of the competition to which the gathering in Standish Hall Common Room last night served as a preliminary. Editors from the class of 1924 may compete in their Sophomore year for the two Assistant Business Managerships. The Assistant Business Manager's competition lasts for approximately a year, at the end of which time one man is chosen as Business Manager during his Senior year.

"The experience to be gained from running the business end of an undergraduate institution such as the Crimson is of decided value beyond the possibility of having one's name on the letter-head for about half a year", according to Professor Robert Bowser '13, in connection with a former Crimson competition. "The essential object of going to college is and always will be an education. Yet training in undergraduate activities of this sort can well be a part of that mental discipline, which fits a man to be graduated".
