Bishop William Lawrence '71 will preside at the Memorial Day exercises at the University, which are to be held this year in Sanders Theatre under the joint auspices of the Harvard Memorial Society and James A. Shannon Post of the American Legion, with Major General David C. Shanks as the speaker.
Reverend James Thayer Addison '00 of the Episcopal Theological School faculty, who is chaplain of the Shannon Post, will offer prayer.
The members of the Memorial Society and Shannon Post, members of the faculty, and all other graduates and undergraduates of the University who are able to be present will assemble in front of University Hall at 11.45 A. M. on Memorial Day, May 30. The Field Artillery Unit stationed in the Yard will fire the regular salute to the dead at exactly noon, after which the procession will move to Sanders Theatre.
Tickets to the exercises at the Theatre have been mailed to the faculty for the use of members of their families, and the families of the Harvard men who gave their lives in the war, and to the Harvard Civil War veterans.
