Schoolboys Take Only One Singles Match From 1924

Losing only one singles match, the Freshman tennis team scored an easy victory over Worcester Academy yesterday afternoon at Worcester, 5-1. None of the matches went to more than two sets, although Slater, who gained Worcester's only point, was forced to go to extra games in both of his sets against E. K. Davis the final tally being 9-7, 9-7. E. St. R. Reynal and J. D. Du Bois were also forced to play extra games in order to defeat Sowles and Kaufman 7-5, 7-5. Captain K. S. Pfaffman, C. W. Farnham Jr. and Parke Cummings had little difficulty in winning their matches in straight sets and Pfaffman and Farnham took their doubles match 6-1, 6-1.
