MEET WITH TIGER PROMISES TO BE CLOSEST IN THE H-Y-P SERIES

"HARVARD CAN WIN AND MUST WIN"--BINGHAM

Every member of the University and Freshman track squads who took part in the meets against Yale Saturday was given a rest from practice yesterday afternoon. Today, however, work of the most earnest variety will be resumed at Soldiers Field and will continue for three days in preparation for the Princeton meets of this Saturday. Stiff practices will be held this afternoon and tomorrow for all University and 1924 men who may be used against the Tiger runners. Thursday the work will be lighter; and on Friday Coaches Bingham and Farrell will give their men a complete rest. The Freshman team will leave for Princeton Friday afternoon.

A comparison of the Yale-Princeton and the Yale-University dual meets indicates that the approaching contest with the Tigers will be the closest of the "Big Three" track clashes this season. As in the Crimson-Blue struggle of Saturday, second and third places will again in all probability be the deciding factor, as the importance of one third place was especially emphasized in the M. I. T.-Dartmouth meet Saturday, which the former won 59-58. "Yale beat Princeton 56 to 48", said Coach Bingham yesterday. "Its margin over Harvard was approximately the same. Next Saturday's meet will be hard-fought. But Harvard can and must win".

Last week our goal was Yale; this week it is Princeton. Yale 56, Princeton 48; Yale 62 1-3, Harvard 54 2-3--about eight points difference in each case. This means that Saturday's contest will be very close; it will be hard-fought. But Harvard can and must win. COACH W. J. BINGHAM '16
