Yesterday there was printed in this column an editorial on the support for the ball team, which suggested that the segregation of Crimson rooters would remedy the situation, particularly as regards spontaneous backing of the nine.
At the Holy Cross game yesterday there was segregation--the Harvard stands were packed. There was plenty of individual support. But in the ninth inning when the team needed more than the intermittent encouragement of individual players the stands shouted in vain for some one to lead cheers.
By their attendance and spontaneous cheering undergraduates have shown that they are behind the team. Now let us have cheer leaders.
