Playing the National Shawmut Bank team yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field, in a six inning practice game, the University seconds scored a 10-9 victory despite the visitors' eleventh-hour rally that counted two singles and a triple, and brought in two runs.
The Shawmut nine batted well all through the game, gathering a total of ten hits to the scrubs' five, but the latter won on the numerous and costly errors of the visitors.
