R.O.T.C. MEN PLACE IN MEET

Make Good Showing in New Riding Club Gymkhana, Taking Two First Places--Other University Men Compete

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a gymkhana held last Saturday at the New Riding Club several University undergraduates, among them members of the R. O. T. C. unit, took part and made very good showings, considering that some of the men had had little previous experience. The horses used were those belonging to the University Unit. Their showing, therefore, reflects most creditably on the training given in the Military Science Courses.

In the Musical Stalls, H. H. Hudson '23, took second place, while in the relay race a team composed of J. N. Macy '22, W. M. Houghton '22, J. C. Burchard '21, and H. H. Hudson '22 was the winner. The men's obstacle race was won by H. H. Hudson '22, and J. C. Burchard '21, and the balloon fight between two large teams, on both of which were University men, was won by the "Red" team. Other University men not affiliated with the R. O. T. C. to place well were W. H. Forbes '23, and R. G. Hooker '23, first and second respectively in the Gretna Green, and H. A. Robey 1GB and C. A. Page 1GB, who placed second in the obstacle race.
