As a result of the final Pasteur Debate held last night in John Knowles Paine Hall. Raymond Samuel Fanning unC. of Chattanooga, Tenn. was awarded the medal presented annually for the best speech on contemporary French politics. Barton Hay Kuhns '22 of Omaha, Nab, was given honorable mention.
The debate was marked by more than ordinary excellence on the part of at least four of the speakers and a very close contest between the two leaders. The judges, three members of the Faculty, were undecided, but finally came to a unanimous decision in favor of Fanning.
