NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the last match of the season the University chess team went down in defeat before the Boylston Chess Club by a score of 4 to 2 on Wednesday evening, losing the match when P. T. Nyhagen uC., playing 6, defaulted to Ward of the Boylston Club.

The defeat was not unexpected, since in the league of eight Boston Chess Clubs to which both Boylston and the University belong, the latter is last and Boylston third. Mendon Morrill uC and Herbert Saphir 1G. were the only men to win for the University.
