Obviously, the best time to meet one's classmates is during the Freshman year. The Freshman Dormitories were built to help co-ordinate the class but unfortunately, the advantages which they offer, have not been fully utilized. Athletes develop a broad acquaintance with the many men with whom they come in contact. Publication work offers a similar opportunity. But the great mass of undergraduates pass their first college year with only a handful of friends. As a result, many do not even know those who are nominated for class officers and consequently show no interest in elections. The failure to take advantage of the opportunities for friendships which college offers, neutralizes one of the greatest benefits of undergraduate life. The "get-together" meeting tonight is a laudable attempt to overcome the difficulties in the way of class unity. With the lively program planned, it should meet with every success.
