Today at 12 o'clock former New York Police Commissioner Colonel Arthur Woods '92 will lecture in Government 17 at Harvard 6 on "Police Administration". This will be the first of a series of eight lectures to be given at the regular lectures of Government 17 by men who have had practical experience in the various fields of municipal government.
Colonel Woods will lecture today and on Thursday. On April 12th and 14th, former Boston Fire Commissioner John R. Murphy will lecture n "Municipal Fire Administration". On April 26th and 28th, former Public School Commissioner David A. Ellis '94 will lecture on "Municipal Public Schools." The last lectures of the series will be given May 10th and 12th by Lawson Purdy, former Commissioner of Building Districts and Restrictions of New York, and governmental delegate to the International Tax Conferences, who will lecture on "Municipal Finance."
