Announcement has just been made by the Comite France-Amerique of Paris that the preliminaries for the third oratorical contest in the University under the auspices of the Society will be held on April 14 in Sever 11 at 8.00 P. This year candidates will be expected to give a five-minute speech on some subject connected with French civilization.

From the preliminary trials six candidates will be chosen to deliver a ten-minute speech at the finals, which will take place after the Spring Recess, the exact date to be announced later.

Further information may be received from Professor L. J. A. Mercier; all men who intend to enter the trials must report to him.
