John S. Codman '90 and Elizabeth Gurley Flynn will speak on the Sacco-Vanzetti Case under the auspices of the Student Liberal Club in the Living Room of the Union at 8 o'clock Monday evening. Sacco and Vanzetti have been put in prison charged with complicity in hold-ups, charges which their supporters claim were directed against them because of their radical opinions.
Mr. Codman is a Boston lawyer who has been appointed chairman of the New England Civil Liberties Committee, and Miss Flynn is an organizer of the Woman's Defense Union. Miss Flynn comes to Cambridge under the release of police in Philadelphia, where she was arrested for alleged "seditious utterances" on last Sunday.
There will be a dinner of the Liberal Club in honor of Mr. Codman and Miss Flynn in the Trophy Room at 6.30.
R. F. Foorster, Assistant Professor of Social Ethics and an authority on problems of Sociology and Immigration, will act as chairman and will introduce the speakers. The meeting will be open to all members of the Union.
