Lack of Ice Prevented Hockey Contest Saturday--Two Games This Week

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman hockey game against Newton High School scheduled for last Saturday was called off on account of warm weather and melting ice. Continued warm weather during the present week will seriously hamper the work of the yearlings, who beside a game against St. Mark's on Wednesday was scheduled to meet the Yale yearlings in the Arena on Saturday. Coach Lombard had a winning combination on the ice against Milton last Wednesday but has been able to give his men only one day of work since then.

The Yale freshmen have had little chance to show what they can do so far this year and will be very much of an unknown quantity when they appear in the Arena. "Charley" O'Hearn, former Exeter star, who has been counted on to hear the brunt of Yale's attack, will be unable to play on account of water on the knee.
