DISCUSS INTERCOLLEGIATE CONFERENCE PLANS TONIGHT

The Student Council will meet in the Union tonight to discuss several matters of importance, chief among which is the question of sending a delegation to the student government conference to be held at M. I. T. on April 15 and 16. At its meeting early in January the University Student Council declined the invitation which had been received from Tech, but in the light of new events will again vote on the project.

The proposed conference, plans for which were formulated at a meeting between delegates of Cornell, Princeton. Dartmouth, Pennsylvania and M. I. T. in New York during the Christmas Recess, will offer an opportunity hitherto impossible for discussion and comparison of methods of student government and organization. Four delegates will be the limit that any one of the 41 colleges invited will be permitted to send, as facilities for accommodating more are not at hand at Technology. The preliminary work in regard to sending out questionnaires, determining the exact fields of discussion, and arranging for the program and accommodations has been in charge of the executive committee under W. R. Barker of M. I. T., as chairman. This committee will continue in charge of the conference after the meetings begin, will have the power to limit the discussions of topics of major importance, and will direct the arrangements for the division of work under four main branches student government, athletics, publications and musical and dramatic organizations.
