Dr. James Rowland Angell, A.M. '92, Professor of Psychology, and known as an administrator of exceptional ability, was chosen as President of Yale University at a meeting of the corporation on Saturday. He succeeds President Arthur T. Hadley, whose resignation last April has caused the Yale Corporation strenuous work over a period of ten months in choosing a successor. For the first time in its history Yale will have a chief executive who has not been connected with the university as a student, for Dr. Angell, a graduate of the University of Michigan, and the holder of an A.M. degree from the University, has never received a degree from Yale.
