The Freshman basketball five will meet the Reading High School team this afternoon in the Freshman Athletic Building for the ninth game in their schedule. Thus far the Yearlings have been very successful, defeating all but one of the teams they have met, by large scores.
In last Wednesday's game with the strong Dean Academy quintet, the 1924 team played at its best, completely routing their heavier opponents, and showing a brand of team work combined with fast individual floor-work and shooting that has not been excelled on University courts thus far this season.
Although not displaying the same spectacular type of shooting as at the start of the season, Captain Gordon is playing a much better all-around game, and the rest of the team have improved in a like degree. E. L. Gehrke, star of the 1924 football team, has lately joined the squad, and it is likely that he may play at one of the guard positions part of the time, and otherwise the line-up will be the same as in previous games.
