As a result of the try-outs for the University wrestling team held yesterday afternoon in the Wrestling Room of the Hemenway Gymnasium, four men were chosen to represent the University from the twenty-five who reported for trial. In the 115-pound class, A. B. Walker '22 decisively won all of his matches, while from the 125-pound group H. J. Freedman was chosen. C. A. C. Eastman '23 was by far the most promising of the 175-pounders, and it is expected that he will prove one of the most dependable men on the University team this year. He was University champion in his weight last season, and also captain of the 1923 team. From the heavyweights, Fiske Browne '21 won the decision.
This afternoon three more matches will be staged, the 135, 145 and 158-pound members of the team being chosen. All members of the team picked thus far will report at the trials at 4 o'clock, and when the remaining members of the team are chosen a captain will be elected, and on Saturday afternoon the team will meet the strong Penn State squad at the Pennsylvania College.
