Because of the St. Patrick's hockey game this evening, the time of the Freshman crew candidates meeting has been changed to 5 o'clock this afternoon instead of 8.15 as formerly announced and the place of meeting is in the Smith Halls Common Room. The crew management wish it understood that it is very important for all candidates to be on hand. Dr. R. B. Howe '01, the Freshman coach, and Coach Haines will announce the complete plans of the crew season. Men placing in the first three eights will be given special training in the tank until the river is available, and all others will train on the machines occasionally using the tank.
The competition for Freshmen managerial candidates will commence with a short though important meeting at 1.05 this afternoon in Beck 32, at which the manager will explain the competition. The week of May 2 the Freshman manager, assistant manager, and three second assistants will be named. The first two receive numerals, and the three second assistants will hold positions on the Regatta committee and will be in charge of the Harvard Invitation Regatta.
Men of the University crew squad will meet at 4 P. M., Wednesday in the Newell Boat House and be addressed by Captain L. B. McCagg '22 and Coach Haines.
