Several of those whose work has contributed to the success of the Pi Eta shows in the past few years have parts in the cast of "Don't Mind If I Do", the 1922 production, which was announced last evening. The names of the ponies, the show girls, and the chorus men were also announced.
The play "Don't Mind If I Do" was written by H. K. Behn '22 and G. C. Benedict '23 while the music was composed by M. H. Dill 2S.L.A., A. A. Fiske Jr. '22, L. A. Harlow '23, and H. E. Scott Jr. '22.
The scene of this year's production, which is to be given during the first week following the Christmas recess, is laid in Switzerland, and the action takes place shortly after the departure of the University Glee Club from that country. The plot hangs about the adventures of one Reginaid Beacon, a member of the club, who through an unfortunate mishap, is left behind with the baggage when the club goes away. During his enforced stay in the middle European republic, young Beacon has the varied experiences of running a hotel, straightening out the political tangles of the deposed kings of two small principalities, Platagravia and Czecho-Khorsaat, acting as social mentor for a plumber-profiteer from Kansas, and falling in love with a disguised princess.
Former Stars to Appear
Among the actors in former shows who are to appear in this year's production are Albert Palmer 4E.S. and P. L. Cheney 2S.A., whose comic dances in "All Fareedah" and "The Late Mr. Kidd" were said to be among the funniest scenes in those two shows. J. F. Lautner ocC., who had a leading part in the 1920 play, will appear this year as a troubadour.
