Professor S. I. Balley '88 In Charge of Peru Station to Speak

This evening from 7.30 to 9 o'clock the College Observatory will hold an open night. Professor S. I. Balley '88, who is to take charge of the University observatory in Peru will give a short illustrated talk on "The Harvard Observatory in Peru", the lecture being preceded, if the weather permits, by telescopic observations of various constellations.

This is the second of a series of open nights that the observatory is holding this winter, the remaining dates being as follows: Wednesday, December 21, Friday, January 6, Thursday, January 19, and Saturday, February 4. On any one night the number of visitors will be limited to fifty. Applications must be made in advance and tickets may be procured without charge by applying either at the Observatory itself or to the Astronomical Laboratory on Jarvis street.
