WRESTLERS TO MEET TODAY

Candidates for University Team to Be Addressed by Captain Brown and Newly-Appointed Coach Jedlinski

The wrestling season will open today with a meeting of all candidates for the team at 3.30 o'clock in Hemenway Gymnasium. Captain J. F. Brown '22, Manager J. P. Merrill '23, and Coach Frank Jedlinski will speak.

Mr. Jedlinski has been appointed, subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee, to take the place of Mr. Samuel Anderson, whose contract as coach expired this year.

The squad which meets today will be divided into groups according to weight, and will practice each day at 3 o'clock.

The schedule has not been approved yet by the Athletic Committee, but the first meet has been decided on. It will be with Springfield Y. M. C. A. College at Springfield. Leading up to this meet will be a series of inter-class and informal meets designed to extend the powers of the men gradually.

There will be a second team this year as well as a first and a continuous challenge system will give second string men a chance to show their right to a place on the team. The same system will be inaugurated in regard to the freshman squad.
