The annual Christmas reception of Phillips Brooks House will be held on Sunday afternoon at 5.30 o'clock. The program will consist of carol singing, led by Professor A. T. Davison '06, and a sleight-of-hand performance by Philip Walker '25, as well as reading and music. Refreshments, consisting of cider, doughnuts, and nuts, will be served.
The Welfare Committee of Phillips Brooks House, of which Richard Chute '22 is chairman, has had the Cambridge Welfare Union investigate the cases of poor boys in Cambridge, and as a result of the inquiry this Christmas, it will distribute shoes and stockings to twenty-five deserving boys. The need for clothing this year is much greater than for food, so that the Committee has departed from its usual custom of giving dinners, which was followed on Thanksgiving, as well as last Christmas.
