More than 50 candidates for the Freshman hockey team reported to Coach R. S. Humphrey '21 for their initial workout yesterday afternoon on the Charlesbank rinks. In a very short drill, the men were given practice in starting turning, and in going down the ice against a defense, but no real effort was made to choose any combinations of forward lines.

P. L. Romaine '23 and P. E. Wilson '23 will assist Coach Humphrey in giving the squad instruction. Practice for the entire squad will be held Monday.

Manager candidates for the Freshman hockey team will be called out on Monday. The competition will last approximately six weeks.
