The Library has lately received from the Chinese Legation in Washington a sumptuous volume in an interesting and beautiful brocade case, comprising a catalog in Chinese of a comprehensive manuscript collection of 36,000 volumes, covering Chinese History, Philosophy and Classics, said to be the largest collection of this character in existence.
