A special memorial service will be held on Armistice Day in Appleton Chapel, at 8.45 o'clock in the morning, and at noon a battery of the University Field Artillery Unit will fire a national salute of 21 guns of soldiers Field.
It is officially announced that if President Harding Proclaims Armistice Day a national holiday, it will be observed as a holiday in all departments of the University.
The chapel service for Armistice Day has been arranged by the Shannon Post of the American Legion with the co-operation of the Harvard Memorial Society. The Reverend Kenneth Caldwell MacArthur '05 of the Old Cambridge Baptist Church, Chaplin of the Shannon Post, will have charge of the Service, to which all members of the University and the public are invited.
