CROSS-COUNTRY MEN PREPARE FOR STIFF MEET WITH CORNELL

Coaches W. J. Bingham '16 and E. H. Farrell gave the University cross-country team only a slight work-out over the Belmont course yesterday afternoon in preparation for the meet with Cornell tomorrow. Today the squad will be given a day off in which to rest up. Captain F. G. Bemis '22 has been unable to report the last few days on account of an injury to his foot, and it is doubtful whether he will be able to run against Cornell. R. A. Lutz '23 is also troubled with a bad foot and will probably not run tomorrow.

The Ithacans have so far shown themselves to be as strong as in former years. At the Syracuse meet last Saturday, Cornell brought in five men before one of their opponents finished, the first four crossing the tape in a dead heat, breaking the time record for the course.

The meet will be held over the regular University course at Belmont. The probable entries for tomorrow are as follows:
