Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The CRIMSON has received so many communications on the general subject of football songs, one of which is printed in the next column, that a few remarks may be justified. In the first place our correspondents, almost to a man, ask that the cheer leaders and cheering sections keep in mind that Eli, Yale and Blue are not in order at the Palmer Stadium; substitute Princeton and Black. At the mass meeting and at the field on Wednesday there was no rule laid down; consequently the songs were not clean cut.
As we have all observed, however, there is some difficulty in making "black" rhyme with "through" and "prevail" with "Princeton". What we need for Princeton are songs manufactured for the purpose. There is no reason at all why the project of writing some words and music peculiarly suited to the Tiger should have to be popularized. There is talent here, and a demand--witness the numerous letters on the subject. All we need is a supply to meet the demand.
Nothing can be done now in the way of new songs, but some of the old one might be revived, as "Veritas" was last year. Were we to suggest one, it would be "Score"--dated 1910. The words are good, music better; it is easy to learn. And it will cheer the hearts of more than one graduate of the last twenty years.
