Yesterday afternoon for the first time this fall, Coach Wachter divided up his large basketball squad into teams and after the preliminary workout, sent the two quintets that comprise his first squad through two long practice games against the seconds.

The first five to be sent on the floor lines up as follows: right forward, Captain A. E. McLeish '23; left forward, P. H. Stevens '24; center, H. B. Tyson '23; right guard, H. E. Feiring '23; left guard, E. W. Love '23. Displaying an excellent passing game, accurate shooting at the baskets, and very good cooperation for so early in the season, the quintet completely overwhelmed the scrubs and buried them under a score of 19 to 3. Captain McLeish and Stevens starred especially, continually taking long passes from down the floor and sending the ball through the basket with precision.

Following the workout of the first team, Coach Wachter lined up his second team as follows: right forward, J. R. Greenberg '22; left forward, A. M. Lomax '24; center, J. H. Sipp 2E.S.; right guard, G. T. Barker '23; left guard, J. T. Rudolfsky '24. Although this quintet also showed good from, the scrubs were about a match for them and after about 20 minutes of spirited scrimmaging, the game was called off with the score 4-2 in favor of the red-jerseyed first team.
