CRIMSON HOCKEY SQUAD TO TURN OUT FOR DRILL

First Practice of Season to Be Held in Arena Today Under Direction of Coach Claflin--Candidates Divided Into Two Groups Temporarily

The initial practice for the University hockey squad will be held this afternoon at the Boston Arena under the direction of Coach William H. Claflin Jr. '15. Yesterday for the first time the rink at the Arena was frozen and the ice will be ready for use today by the time the Crimson squads arrive.

Coach Claflin has split the candidates into two squads, including in the first the men who have had the most experience at the University. However this division is only temporary and shifts will be made every few days. For practice the squads will be subdivided into tentative teams which will hold short scrimmages, but no long, hard practices will be held at present.
