The London String Quartet, assisted by the piano soloist, Mrs. Elizabeth S. Coolidge, will give a concert in the John Knowles Paine Concert Hall of the Music Building tonight at 8.15 o'clock, under the auspices of the Department of Music. This concert is one of a series which is being given at the Music Building through the interest and generosity of Mrs. Frederic Shurtleff Coolidge.
Comprising the string quartet are Mr. James Levey, first violin; Mr. Thomas W. Petre, second violin; Mr. H. Waldo Warner, viola; and Mr. C. Warwick Evans, cello. The program is as follows: Quartet for Strings in D minor, Mozart Peters Edition, No. 13 (K. V. 421, No. 2.)
Quartet for Pianoforte in A major, Brahms Mr. Levey, Mr. Warner, Mr. Evans, and Mrs. Coolidge.
Fairy Suite, "The Pixy-Ring", Op. 23, H. Waldo Warner.
There will be no charge for admission to any of the concerts in the series. Seats will be reserved for officers and students of the University and their families, and for officers and students of Radcliffe College, until 8 o'clock. After that time the public will be admitted.
