HARVARD IN SOUTH AMERICA

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The publication in Spanish of a pamphlet describing for South American citizens the University is significant of the general trend of Harvard influence and policy. More and more is the University becoming an international rather than a local institution. This new indication of South American interest would appear to be the opening of an even broader field of activity, giving the University a wider range of thought and action than ever before.

It is only when such announcements as this are brought to undergraduate attention, that it is possible to realize the work, which is steadily being accomplished outside the limits of Cambridge and New England. The development bodes well for the University; for where foreigners can gain much by attending a great American institution, it is equally true that they give much in return. Expansion is a logical aim for the University, for its benefits are many and mutual.
