French Books in Treasure Room

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A collection of examples of the work of modern French bookbinders has lately been put on exhibition in the Treasure Room of the College Library, where the books will remain for another week. They come from the library of the late M. C. H. Monod of Paris, a distinguished book collector and a former officer of the French Ministry of the Interior. Among the binders represented are Mercler, Gruel, Samblanx, Noulhac, Vermorel, Plerson and Carayon.
