THE INSTRUMENTAL CLUBS TO THE RESCUE!

The "delightfully simple solution" advanced by a correspondent in today's CRIMSON is one of the main arguments against changing the name of the Glee Club. If the University should attempt to maintain both a Choral Society and a Glee Club, it is more than probable that neither of them would be first-rate.

It is possible, however, to save the "college song" in another way. The Instrumental Clubs have shown no signs of becoming high brow. They have a vocal quartet which takes part in most of its concerts. If this quartet were perfected and made a permanent addition to the organization, the Instrumental Clubs would be well equipped to represent the more popular aspect of college music, while the new "choral society" would remain supreme in the artistic field.
