SCRUBS BEAT CAMBRIDGE LATIN

5-1 Score of Victory on Charlesbank Rink--Higgins Stars at Goal

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a game featured by rough playing on both sides yesterday afternoon on the Charlesbank rinks, the University second hockey team defeated the Cambridge Latin School septet 5-1. Neither team showed especially good form, but the Scrubs had the upper hand throughout. The guarding of the seconds goal by R. R. Higgins '22 was almost impregnable, and W. D. Burden on the defense stopped most of the rushes, while F. H. Hovey '22 caged two of the scrubs' goals. On Saturday the second team will probably meet a team of former University playeres on the Charlesbank rinks.

Goals, Hovey 2, Hallock 2, Walls. Referee, Sessions. Three 12-minute periods.

The summary: Pratt, r.w.  r.w., Cronin Hallock, r.c.  r.c., Fairfax Hovey, l.c.  l.c., Foley Walls, l.w.  l.w., Culhouse Burden, c.p.  c.p., Shea Guild, p.  p., Gantrean Higgins, g.  g., Fitzgerald
