Last Saturday night at the Y. M. C. A. tank, Brown defeated the University swimmers by a score of 42 to 11. The Crimson team was handicapped by lack of experienced men and by the ineligibility of several of its best swimmers.
Jones of Brown made a new record for the Y. M. C. A. tank of 57 seconds for 100 yards, a feat which puts him in a class with the best swimmers of the country.

Relay race--Won by Brown (Adams, Almy, Fitzgibbons, Jones): second, Harvard (Wyman, Gross, Thayer, Brackett). Time--1m., 48 2-5s.
Diving--Won by Dawson, Brown: second, Doherty, Harvard: third, Adams, Brown.
Fifty-yard swim--Won by Fitzgibbons, Brown: second, Brackett, Harvard: third, Whitehouse, Brown. Time--26s.
Two hundred and twenty-yard swim Won by Jones, Brown: second, Johnstone, Brown: third, Douglass, Harvard. Time 2m., 54s.
Plunge.--Won by Gorman, Brown, 63 1-2 ft.: second, Perkins, Brown, 62ft.: third, Thomas, Harvard, 59ft.
One hundred-yard swim Won by Jones, Brown: second, Brackett, Harvard: third, Staples, Brown. Time 57s (new tank record).
