Curator of Cryptogamic Herbarium Dies After Short Illness

The sudden death of Lincoln Ware Riddle, professor of cryptogamic botany, occurred early yesterday morning after a short illness from inflammatory rheumatism.

He was in his second year on the Faculty of the University, coming here after thirteen years at Wellesley College. He succeeded Professor Thaxter, emeritus, as Curator of the Cryptogamic Herbarium. At the University he had received the degrees of A.M. and Ph.D.
