On Monday, January 24, "Blue Eyes," a new musical farce by Leon Gordon, will be brought to the Shubert Theatre. This piece will be followed on February 7 by "Broadway Brevities."

"Passion," an claborate movie which has been playing to crowded houses at the Capitol Theatre, New York, will open in Boston shortly. The scenes are from French history and were made in Berlin by a German film company, the rights having been sold to an American producer. Pola Negri is the new-found star in "Passion."

John Galsworthy's drama, "Strife," will be the attraction at the Copley Theatre next week. Among the other plays to be produced in the near future by the Henry Jewett Players are "What the Public Wants," by Arnold Bennett. "Caste," by Thomas W. Robertson, and "The Rivals," Sheridan's famous comedy.

The "Ed. Wynn Carnival" is due at the Colonial Theatre on January 24 for an engagement limited to two weeks only.

The dramatization by Tom Cushing of Blasco Ibanez's novel, "Blood and Sand," has been secured by Charles Frohman, Inc. This will mark the first production in this country of any of the Spanish novelist's works.

"Enter Madame," of which Gilda Varesi is authoress and star, seems to be breaking all records for popularity in New York. A close second is "Sally," the new musical piece featuring Marilyn Miller and Leon Errol.
