The new Graduate School of Education will open for its first term on Monday, September 27, with a total enrollment of 46 students. This is the first department of the University to admit women to its classes, and eight women have signified then intention to take this opportunity. For the use of the School of Education the Business School has given over the upper and lower floors of the southern wing of Lawrence Hall, which have been remodeled and fitted with new lighting and heating systems.

It is expected by Dean Holmes that there will be a considerable increase in enrollment within a short time in the School of Education, particularly among School of Education, particularly among the part-time students, of whom there are at present 16. The other 30 are full-time students, candidates for a higher degree.

As a part of the work of the school, the Palfrey House on Oxford street has been equipped for the establishment of a psycho-educational clinic, the purpose of which is to aid the schools of Cambridge to classify the children who need special attention as to their mental development.

The School of Education announces that in the second half year an additional course will be offered on the teaching of English by Mr. Charles Swain Thomas, formerly Director of English in the Junior and Senior, High Schools of Cleveland, O., and at present on the editorial staff of the Atlantic Company.

During the period from October 22 to January 28 it is further planned to establish a course of lectures for the education of the blind.
