An opportunity to become a member of the College Summer Service Group in New York City is now open to men in the University, as New England is entitled to nominate seven students. It is planned to gather in New York a group of 50 picked college men to do social service work and to receive instruction along those lines from July 1 to August 18. Men who wish to avail themselves of this opportunity should apply to H. M. Fleming '20 at 78 Mt. Auburn street, or to Mr. W. I. Tibbetts '17 at Phillips Brooks House.
The object of this summer group is to train men for social service work in the midst of the actual conditions encountered today in the larger cities. The selection of men will depend on their intellectual ability, religious experience, and their general character and former service.
The men will work under supervision throughout the period of their residence. Twice a week there will be morning periods of instruction in the several phases of social service, religious problems and vocational guidance.
